Lazy Eight Ranch History
The Lazy Eight has a long and proud tradition. Longtime producers of top-quality F1 Brahman X Hereford females, they have always been leaders in the ranching industry. Quarter Horses have played a vital role in the day to day ranch operations. Prior to 1992, Lazy Eight Ranches sought to purchase the best "cow horses" they could find. Good "cow horses" were hard to find, so Lembo and Zac Allen decided the Lazy Eight needed to breed their own. Always fans of the King Ranch Bloodlines, they purchased Miss Tenino Sam, a daughter of the great world champion Tenino San. Capitalizing on top-quality genetics, the Lazy Eight set out to build an excellent band of broodmares. Thirteen years later, the Lazy Eight has established itself as a top producer of Quarter Horses that will get the job done.
Although the Lazy Eight has moved their primary cow-calf operation to Argentina, we are continuing a stocker operation in Texas. Our horses are used everyday as a part of that operation. We have decided to give the public an opportunity to share in our program by offering limited colt sales, and breedings to Sun O Tenino, a son of Mr. Sun O Lena out of Miss Tenino Sam. Sun O Tenino has everything anybody would want in a "cow horse." Breed your good mare to Sun O Tenino to get your own ranch-raised horse of a lifetime.
